Program 15 National Events: What They’re Saying (Butch Baccala, California Academy Of Baseball)

April 11, 2017

As part of a weekly series of stories leading up to the Program 15 New Balance Future Stars Series upcoming national events in Houston, FutureStarsSeries.com spoke with California Academy of Baseball VP of Baseball Operations, Butch Baccala, about his program being involved.  Baccala is also the VP of Scouting for Program 15.

“We will have two teams in Houston; my upper class team, who came in third place just recently at Perfect Game’s MLK Games in Phoenix, and then an underclass team that’s a combination of 2019’s, 2020’s and 2021’s.  I think if you were to ask every kid in my academy if their dreams were to play pro baseball, every one of them would say yes.  For our academy to be able to participate in the New Balance Future Stare Series and go to Houston for the World Series, I think our kids are really excited about it and they know that this a chance for them to be seen by not only people on the west coast, but people all over the country.”
