2022 New Balance Future Stars Series National Combine -  The Impactful Path

Presented by the Future Stars Series Foundation 501 (c)3

Date: June 28, 2022 - June 30, 2022 ( please see below for the correlation to the National Championship tournaments)

Where: Lake Charles, LA

Cost: FREE with Charitable Fundraising

Leads to: The Main Event at Fenway Park

Why:

The New Balance Future Stars Series is not just about discovering and developing the MLB Heroes of tomorrow; it's about discovering and developing the leaders of tomorrow by creating real opportunities where they don't exist today: opportunities for education, opportunities to give back to their community ...opportunities for a future. We are incredibly grateful that you are part of this chapter in our mission to CHANGE THE GAME!

To support this mission, we have worked with our advisory board to create The Impactful Path. This path allows players to raise money to help a charity of their choice (more information provided after they register) in lieu of a traditional registration and travel costs while competing for the opportunity to advance on the field. Our Impactful Path provides players the chance to earn the entire trip including registration, hotel, and flight credit by supporting a charity through online fundraising. A portion of all net proceeds will be donated to the players' charity. Fundraising participation does not impact player selection for future events. Should a player wish to not participate in the fundraising efforts they may elect to pay the minimum donation and all travel expenses on their own.

The Impactful Path off the field will generously support the Future Stars Series Foundation as well the charity of the players choosing. The Impactful Path on the field provides the players with the opportunity to embark on the next step to Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. New Balance Future Stars Series will select the rosters for The Main Event directly from this National Combine.

Format:

June 27: Player check-in and gear pass-out at 6pm

June 28: Player testing combine, additional assessments such as vision, strength, nutrition, and mental training. Pitchers will not throw at this event unless it is a scheduled bullpen day.

June 29-30: Games with their team participating in the New Balance Future Stars National Championships or for those not participating in the National Championships they will be placed on NBFSS teams coached by our national development staff to play in the first 2 days of the tournament. Those players will then be free to leave and return on Thursday to their local teams.

Just to ensure clarity, all players will participate in games.  If your team is in the tournament you will play with them while being evaluated.  If your team is not you will play on a team with other players that are also not in the tournament and for just the first two days only.

Following the event, a date will be announced for the Selection Show to find out who made the Fenway Park Roster.
