Dear Players, Families, and all those supporting the NBFSS World Combine.

By now, many of you have been observing the progression and worldwide decisions made concerning the Coronavirus (COVID-19). After careful consideration for all of those involved, we have decided to postpone the New Balance Future Stars Series – World Combine. The World Combine will take place at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. We are currently working with IMG Academy to secure a date that aligns health officials, the venue, and representatives involved.

We’ve had numerous conversations with MLB advisory board members, those focused on player advancement, international representatives, and various government entities regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) over the last 48 hours. Also, we recognize the importance of the recent announcements by the World Health Organization about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and the President concerning travel restrictions.

Based on the feedback received by the organizations previously mentioned, we recognize the importance of this event to the players, families, and the baseball organizations around the world. We look forward to launching an industry-first event starting on April 29th. For the safety of all players/families, staff, and everyone involved, we’ve decided this is the best decision.

We believe a timeline in late May to early June aligns the NBFSS World Combine with government guidelines, MLB operations, and the general public safety for all involved. During this time, the transportation and tourism industry is making efforts to mitigate the effect on consumers. Right now, many of the top airlines, hotels, and transportation companies are available to support your needs. Altering travel plans should be more accessible than ever before as the industries bare similar challenges the world is experiencing.

We look forward to seeing the players, families, and an abundant amount of MLB representatives at the event in April. Please be safe and thank you for your patience as we all work through this challenge.
