2025 Signature Event: Underclass Elite
Tyler isn’t the flashiest, but has the potential for some serious impact on both sides of the ball, showing multiple strong tools that continue to grade out well from our scouting staff. We’ve seen the BPA Baseball product since a Mississippi Regional Combine in early 2024, and it was from there that he earned an invite first to last year’s Underclass Combine and then the Underclass Premier. This year, it was the same path, albeit one that ends with the Underclass Elite, where he looks to do some damage with a swing that produces consistent hard contact and also show some defensive versatility both behind the plate and at third base.

Since 2003, he has covered multiple World Series and has worked high-profile events ranging from the MLB All-Star Game to the World Baseball Classic. In addition to his role working for the Future Stars Series that he's held since 2017, Ashmore currently serves as the beat writer of the Double-A New York Yankees affiliate, the Somerset Patriots, as well as national hockey writer and New York Jets game day beat reporter for The Trentonian.
