For the second consecutive year, New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series, powered by Program 15 Sports, is set to host two of its biggest signature events in Hartford.
On the heels of the success of both events in 2024, both the Underclass Premier and Fresh 50 are set to return to Dunkin’ Park this weekend, with on-field activity set to begin on Friday morning and extending all the way through Sunday afternoon. Each event will see four games played — one on Friday, a doubleheader on Saturday, and then a finale for each group on Sunday — and both have already established a rich history despite still being in their relative infancy.
The Fresh 50 was established in 2022, with the first installment being played at the University of Arizona. That event featured likely 2026 first-round pick Trey Rangel, future Main Event participants like Adam Plascencia, Manny Dorantes, and Landon Cochran, as well as some top talents like Karson Trichel, Zack Bretza, Brayden Jaksa, and 2025 Milwaukee Brewers draft pick Ma’Kale Holden.
Meanwhile, the Underclass Premier has been a place where the top prep sophomores can showcase their skills; the event first truly popped at Vanderbilt in 2023, where another likely 2026 first-rounder, R.J. Cope — who you’ll see in the Main Event this October — highlighted a group that also includes soon-to-be Arlington standouts like Caleb Trugman, Hudson Tuley and Hunter Lynch.
This year? Both events are loaded with standouts from their respective Underclass Combines, which were held this year in Houston.
A full schedule for the weekend can be found below, with the most updated information always posted on the event page if any changes become necessary.
