The Angels went for an alumni of the New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series yet again later on in the third day of the 2022 MLB Draft, taking 2019 International Week standout Sabin Ceballos
Ceballos was one of the stars of the World Team, smacking an impressive double in Game 3 at Fenway Park.
PICK ANALYSIS BY JEREMY BOOTH, CEO AND PRESIDENT OF THE NEW BALANCE BASEBALL FUTURE STARS SERIES: Probably in the right spot now as a catcher, can really throw and has a fallback role as a pitcher. He’s got some power, but needs it all to come together. The question of why he hasn’t gone sooner is one that everybody can ask, but the draft is a funny animal. He has all the makings of a big leaguer.”
