Mason Ronan, who was drafted out of high school by the Boston Red Sox back in 2018 but elected not to sign, has ended up in pro ball with the Philadelphia Phillies organization, who quickly signed him after the draft was over this year.
Ronan pitched for the National Team at the inaugural International Week event in Sugar Land, Texas in 2017.
PICK ANALYSIS BY JEREMY BOOTH, CEO AND PRESIDENT OF THE NEW BALANCE BASEBALL FUTURE STARS SERIES: Good for him to get started. CJ Wilson body comp, obviously not the same type of stuff. Pitchability guy. But, probably ends up in a bullpen trying to air it out or somebody who gets you through the lineup one time.
