2025 Georgia Premier Scout Day set to feature some familiar faces

April 10, 2025

The New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series is headed down to Georgia this weekend, but we’re not bringing any green jackets. About 90 minutes south of Augusta, we’ll be at Georgia Premier Academy for a Scout Day, where our staff is set to get a firsthand look at a program that’s consistently produced some of the top players in the country for years now.

Among the expected attendees on Sunday are R.J. Cope, a 2026 Vanderbilt commit who will be one of the more intriguing players in that year’s Draft.

The 6-foot-8, 240-pounder is a veteran of FSS events and most recently attended the Main Event in Arlington, where he continued to blow scouts away…as well as the opposition.

Other familiar names expected to be on site in Georgia are South Carolina commit Cam Jackson, Underclass Premier and Instructs standout Collin Thomas (2027), and fellow Underclass Premier standouts David Bankston and Jackson Reynolds, with a full list of expected attendees listed below, always subject to change.

Social media coverage will start the day of the event, so make sure you’re following @ftrstarsseries on X, as well as the FSS on all other platforms.

Hosted exclusively for FSS Partner Programs, each player attending a Scout Day event receives a t-shirt, hat, and full Future Stars Series created scouting report written by a professional scout who has signed MLB players. These reports include the MLB 20-80 scale and a proprietary role prediction model developed by the Future Stars Series from thousands of games and scouted players. This model has been widely accepted by MLB clubs when making draft decisions. This includes many of the recent over 100 players drafted or signed in the 2023 draft who have participated in previous New Balance Future Stars Series events.

Player profiles and evaluations are logged into the PROGRAM 15 Proprietary Scouting Database and made available to college coaches and pro scouts across the country. Many college coaches in today’s recruiting world will watch the live stream to set up or confirm their future scouting boards. Our reports have earned the trust of those coaches and we have had many players earn college offers immediately following our events. Scout Days will be covered by the Future Stars Series social media team reaching over 100 million views and impressions. We encourage you to follow all our social media accounts and tag us in your posts from your events.

Players attending their organization’s Scout Day will also be evaluated for selection to attend a New Balance Future Stars Series Underclass or National Combine, allowing them to bypass the normally required Regional Combine as they progress toward a potential invitation to the Fresh 50, Underclass Elite or Main Event signature events. The Main Event is hosted in an MLB stadium such as Globe Life Field or Fenway Park. This bypass step is only available to players that are part of one of our Partner or Affiliate Programs.
