As the baseball community gears up for the highly anticipated 2024 New Balance Future Stars Series Signature Events, the organization is elevating the excitement to new heights; announcing for the first time, player selection will be broadcast live.
In partnership with the Harris County-Houston Sports Authority, The Future Stars Series Selection Show will offer an unprecedented glimpse into the process of identifying and celebrating the next generation of baseball stars. The broadcast will showcase the athletes chosen to participate in the prestigious Future Stars Series Signature Events that will be played against the iconic backdrops of big-league stadiums across the United States.
The broadcast marks a significant milestone in the Series’ history, offering fans and aspiring players alike a front-row seat to the journey of young talents as they embark on their path to Major League dreams. A date and time for the selection show will be announced in the near future.

Selections for this year’s Future Stars Signature Events, include the marquee Main Event at Houston’s Minute Maid Park from September 27th to 29th. Featuring elite high school juniors and seniors, the event is recognized as a pivotal scouting ground for MLB scouts and national college recruiters.
Main Event alumni include current major-leaguers such as Grayson Rodriguez, Bo Naylor, and Kyren Paris as well as high-end talent like last year’s No. 2 overall pick, Dylan Crews, Cam Collier, Mick Abel, Ricky Tiedemann, Tink Hence, Zac Veen, Adam Macko, Ryan Spikes, Anthony Solometo, Drew Gilbert, Tommy Troy, and countless others who have worn the coveted FSS Main Event uniform.

Additionally, the Selection Show will spotlight emerging talents from the underclassmen category who will be selected to participate in the upcoming Future Stars Series Underclass signature events:
- Underclass Elite (High School Juniors) from August 30 to September 1st at Fenway Park in Boston, MA.
- Underclass Premier (High School Sophomores) and Fresh 50 (High School Freshmen) from September 13th to 15th at Dunkin Park in Hartford, CT.
The selection process for the New Balance Future Stars Series signature events begins with an initial player assessment at Regional Combines and Partner Scout Days. The final roster of athletes to be unveiled during the live Selection Show is determined through meticulous evaluations by the FSS National Scouting Staff, comprised of former Major League players, coaches, and scouts conducted during this summer’s exclusive invitation-only National and Underclass Combines in Nashville, TN.
The live broadcast of the Future Stars Series Selection Show will be guided by commentary from a notable panel of hosts, each contributing their distinct insights to the player selection process:
Victor Rojas, an Emmy-winning broadcaster with extensive experience in baseball commentary across MLB Radio, the Arizona Diamondbacks, LA Angels, and Texas Rangers, offering in-depth analysis of the game.
Jeremy Booth, the driving force behind the Future Stars Series as its Founder, President, and CEO, is the author of the best-selling book Inside The Mind of a Scout. A seasoned baseball analyst with KHOU TV in Houston with a strong background in scouting and player development, he provides a keen perspective on spotting future MLB stars.
Jason Bristol, sports anchor for KHOU TV in Houston, is an award-winning journalist with 32 regional EMMY® Awards. He adds richness to live broadcasts with his narrative skills, and insights into the local sports scene.
Jim Duquette, a former General Manager of the New York Mets and experienced baseball analyst, offers strategic views on the draft and insights into the potential career trajectories of selected players.
