HOUSTON – The New Balance Future Stars Series powered by Program 15 has announced the full roster for the Main Event, the organizations top Signature event of New Balance and Program Sports15, which will be played the first weekend in October in Arlington, Texas at the home of the Texas Rangers, Globe Life Field.
The Main Event consists of 64 of the top players in the 2026 class that not only show exceptional baseball abilities on the field but embody what the Future Stars Series is all about since its inception back in 2017. For a full roster, click here.
Along with Globe Life Field in Arlington, Riders Stadium, home of the Rangers AA affiliate in Frisco, Texas, will also serve as a host site for the weekend’s festivities.
Each of the players selected has been committed to the program for years and their invitation to the Main Event is a reward for the hard work, determination and growth the NBFSS baseball operations staff has witnessed during their time with the organization.
“This is our best class yet,” says Jeremy Booth, CEO and President of Baseball Operations for the New Balance Future Stars Series. “We’ve had some incredible players come through are organization dating back to 2017 so to say that this class is our best, that’s something they should all be proud of.”
What has been called “one of the top amateur events on the scouting calendar by Ben Badler of Baseball America, this year’s Main Event weekend will be even bigger than previous editions. In addition to the Main Event Class of 2026 players attending, the weekend will include a fall Junior College Showdown featuring some of the top JUCO baseball teams in the country competing against the Main Event invitees. Also included in the weekend will be NBFSS Underclass Elite rosters comprised of players from the Class of 2027. Those rosters and teams will be announced on August 21.
This will be the 9th Main Event and 7th consecutive year that it has been played at a Major League Stadium. Globe Life Park is hosting it for the second year in a row but before that both Fenway Park and Citi Field have also played home to what has become one of the biggest events on the scouting calendar every year.
The 2025 roster features players from across the country, Canada and Puerto Rico who have not only committed to play baseball at the collegiate level but also project as possible top draft picks in the 2026 MLB Draft next summer.
“Rosters and events are always a work in progress — a living, breathing thing. It takes the entire team to work on a job that’s never truly finished, and that’s meant late nights and long days with an eye not just on the present moment, but on both the immediate and distant future,” said Booth speaking from the organization’s Dominican Republic headquarters where a World Combine qualifying event is happening this week. “There may still be a couple of additions at each level that could impact everyone for the better, but only if that proves to be the right move. Discussions are ongoing with players, families, advisors, and the entire New Balance Future Stars Series ecosystem as we continue to find ways to get better.”
For the first time in the event’s history, player captains were chosen to lead each team during the weekend’s games at Globe Life Park. Serving as captain will be RJ Cope from Lawrenceville, Georgia and serving as co-captain will Landon Brown from Rosharon, Texas Each will have the honor of guiding Team White and Team Green as they play in front of scouts from across the country.
“RJ Cope is a very good young man and he’s grown up in this program. He’s played on the biggest stages and he kind of embodies everything that we do,” said Robbie Moen, Director of Scouting and Player Development for the New Balance Future Stars Series. “Landon is an unbelievable baseball player and all he wants to do is talk baseball. He takes it in, he learns, and he asks questions then takes that knowledge and uses it to his advantage.”
