HOUSTON – The New Balance Future Stars Series powered by Program 15 has announced the full rosters for the Underclass Elite teams which will compete during Main Event weekend from October 3-5 in Arlington, Texas at the home of the Texas Rangers, Globe Life Field.
The Underclass Elite team is made up of the top 60 players from the Class of 2027 that have competed within the Future Stars Series for several years and have shown incredible abilities on the field while living up to the standard set by previous NBFSS Underclass Elite teams before them.
Along with Globe Life Field in Arlington, Riders Stadium, home of the Rangers AA affiliate in Frisco, Texas, will also serve as a host site for the weekend’s festivities.
“This is an age where so many think they have it figured out,” said Jeremy Booth, CEO and President of Baseball Operations for the New Balance Future Stars Series. “It’s a separation age, and most don’t including us. But these guys have the ingredients to be great, and I’m excited to see them on this stage together.”
This year, the Underclass Elite teams will not only compete against each other but also test their skills against the Class of 2026 Main Event teams and some of the top Junior College programs in the country who have also been invited to play at Globe Life Field and Riders Field the same weekend.
For the first time ever, the Underclass Elite rosters will have teams captains which were announced at the conclusion of the National Combine back in July. Serving as captain of Team Black will be SS/RHP Ramsey Chung from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and the captain of Team Red is C/1B Jax Van Valkenburg from Owasso, Oklahoma.
