Multiple alumni of the New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series powered by Program 15’s prestigious International Week event have appeared in Baseball America’s 2020 High School Preseason All-America Teams.
Mick Abel earned first-team honors, while Drew Romo, Zac Veen, Dylan Crews made the second-team and Petey Halpin was named to the third-team.
All but Romo have played in the prestigious International Week event; he was unable to participate at Fenway Park in 2019 after accepting an invitation to play, but stood out for the Scorpions Baseball Club in Cypress in July alongside Veen and Crews.
Romo also was named “best defensive catcher,” while Abel’s slider got him “best breaking pitch” honors in the best tools category, as well as “best command.”
