2025 Signature Event: Underclass Premier
Wrenn is an extremely intriguing player in the 2028 based on his height alone — anywhere from 6-foot-4 to 6-foot-6 depending on what you’ve read most recently — but it isn’t just physicality play here. The Texas native brings some skill to both sides of the ball, and earned his way back to Hartford — he participated in last year’s Fresh 50 at Dunkin’ Park — with a strong showing at the Underclass Combine in Houston. Wrenn can handle first base well, showing good feet and athleticism there often, and showed a repeatable delivery on the mound during his most recent outing with us in July.

Since 2003, he has covered multiple World Series and has worked high-profile events ranging from the MLB All-Star Game to the World Baseball Classic. In addition to his role working for the Future Stars Series that he's held since 2017, Ashmore currently serves as the beat writer of the Double-A New York Yankees affiliate, the Somerset Patriots, as well as national hockey writer and New York Jets game day beat reporter for The Trentonian.
