2025 Signature Event: Fresh 50
DeGonzague burst onto the FSS scene at the Underclass Combine in July, with the Ozona, Fla. native has a great pitcher’s body at six-foot-two and 180 pounds, but is a two-way player who also made an impression at the plate during his time in Houston. Throwing from a three-quarter slot with a high leg kick and a clean arm action, DeGonzague flashed a three-pitch mix with a fastball and still-developing curve and change. There’s some power at the dish, especially as he continues to add to a projectable frame, but he likely popped more on the mound than anywhere else. We’ll see it on both sides when we get to Hartford this weekend, where DeGonzague will suit up with the Gray squad in our Fresh 50.

In addition to his role working for the Future Stars Series that he's held since 2017, Ashmore currently serves as the beat writer of the Double-A New York Yankees affiliate, the Somerset Patriots, as well as national hockey writer and New York Jets game day beat reporter for The Trentonian.

An avid card collector and sim racer, he lives with his wife, Sarah, their son William, and their beloved dog, Bailey, and cat, Smokey.
