This has been a long time coming for the big corner infielder, who has seemingly been on the FSS radar for quite some time despite only being a 2029 grad. Pope, who was at last year’s Underclass Combine as well, is intriguing to say the least; there’s significant power here — as evidenced by some of his BP rounds in Houston — and a “now” frame that helps generate that juice from the left side. He’ll get his first opportunity on the big stage when he heads to Hartford for the Fresh 50.
