Those in attendance on championship day of the inaugural Program 15 2018 Grad Class Tournament walked away impressed by the gutsy performances turned in by US Elite outfielders J.P. Murphy and Troy LaNeve.
After the above collision, center fielder Murphy remained in the semi-final game despite a laceration on his tongue. Right fielder LaNeve eventually walked off the field and headed to a local medical facility to have his ribs X-rayed, but remarkably returned for the title game and helped lead his team to the win.
