Congratulations to Damon Casetta-Stubbs, who was a standout at the inaugural 2017 International Week event held in Sugar Land, and was recently named to the Northwest League All-Star Game in his first full professional season.
Casetta-Stubbs, who just turned 20, was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 11th round of the 2018 MLB Draft, and turned around a slow start to this year in the South Atlantic League following his assignment to the NWL’s Everett AquaSox. Â He’s 3-1 with a 4.00 ERA over 45 innings and ten starts for the AquaSox this year, and has struck out nearly one batter per inning with 41 so far for Everett.

Since 2003, he has six World Series and has worked high-profile events ranging from the MLB All-Star Game to the World Baseball Classic. In addition to his role working for the Future Stars Series that he's held since 2017, Ashmore currently serves as the beat writer of the Double-A New York Yankees affiliate, the Somerset Patriots, as well as national hockey writer and New York Jets game day beat reporter for The Trentonian.
