Koen Moreno became the ninth New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series alum to be taken in the 2020 MLB Draft when the Chicago Cubs took him with their fifth round pick, 147th overall.
Moreno turned in a big performance for the Dirtbags at the national tournament, and earned his way into a spot at International Week on the National Team as a result.
QUICK SCOUTING REPORT FROM CEO JEREMY BOOTH: Koen Moreno is a live bodied kid with a big arm and nothing but ceiling ahead of him. Exceptional mound presence and will to compete that executes his pitches consistently. Lots of projection in his future and he will see his way to Wrigley soon.
