A “true” alum of the New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series, Omari Daniel was taken with the 414th overall pick by the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday afternoon at the 2022 MLB Draft.
Daniel has made multiple appearances at the jewel events, starting with the 2020 Underclass Combine, before working his way up to the 2021 National Combine and then ultimately an invitation to the Main Event at Citi Field later that year.
PICK ANALYSIS BY JEREMY BOOTH, CEO AND PRESIDENT OF THE NEW BALANCE BASEBALL FUTURE STARS SERIES: I talk to O quite a bit actually. He’s been hurt and won’t be back until December. Twins took him in the 14th. It’s a good organization, and an upside play. That’s the way to look for him…he was hurt all year. If I’m him, I sign and get all the at-bats I can.
