CJ Wall was inarguably one of the names to keep an eye on heading into the 2026 New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series Main Event, held last weekend at Target Field, the stunning big league home of the Minnesota Twins.
He didn’t disappoint.
Even with some AB’s limited due to the first day being moved indoors to MASH Baseball, Wall still found a way to shine, delivering an RBI single and opposite field ground-rule double as part of a three-hit showing on the weekend that earned him Co-Best Hitter honors alongside Jordan Albarado, who homered on Saturday.
An Arkansas commit, Wall burst back onto the scene with FSS at the National Combine down in Houston, earning a no-brainer invite to Minnesota after a standout showing on both sides of the ball. In his most recent completed scouting report, which is from that event, Wall received some impressive grades from our veteran scouting staff, who see him as “an above-average every day catcher” with “ability and make-up to play behind the plate and contribute on both sides of the ball.”
Wall’s report features scattered future 50’s, 60’s and even a future 70 for approach at the plate, with our scouts noting he “knows what he is doing in the box with future double-plus feel for his swing and the barrel.”
