The 2024 Futures Game kicked off what is sure to be an entertaining few days of All-Star festivities in Arlington, Texas. A host of the best prospects on the planet headlined a Futures Game full of promise for the years to come.
Of note, there were eight Future Stars Series alumni featured in the game including Nationals outfielder Dylan Crews, Reds third baseman Cam Collier, Brewers shortstop Cooper Pratt, Padres left-handed pitcher Robby Snelling, and Cardinals right-handed pitcher Tink Hence, though he was inactive.
Collier had a big day including posting the first run on the board with a homer to right-center field deposited deep into the bullpen. His homer left the bat at 105.1 mph and traveled 409 feet. It was a bomb.

Collier wasn’t the only one flexing his muscles throughout the afternoon. Braves catching prospect Drake Baldwin decided to one-up his National League counterpart with a opposite field shot into the left-center field bullpen that left the bat at 107.3 mph and traveled 411 feet. That was to the opposite field, mind you. A remarkable blast.
The hometown Texas Rangers were well-represented as Emiliano Teodo took the hill for the American League and worked two awfully impressive innings. Teodo touched 97.9 mph and flashed some upper-80s cutters with strong shape traits. He punched out lauded Giants slugger Bryce Eldridge for his only punch out but he did not walk a batter and he did not allow a hit.
Red Sox catching prospect Kyle Teel also put together a very nice day with two doubles to the opposite field.
