Despite impact trades over the last few years, the San Diego Padres remain an organization with farm depth. It’s a good thing, too, because they may need to use it.
The Padres have done a solid job maintaining the ability to supplement their big-league roster with major trades, and there’s balance in the system with up-the-middle-prospects Jackson Merrill and Ethan Salas, and arms, including lefty Robby Snelling and right-hander Dylan Lesko.
