As part of a weekly series of stories leading up to the Program 15 New Balance Future Stars Series upcoming national events in Houston, FutureStarsSeries.com spoke with Showtime Baseball’s Billy Hayes about being involved.
“We’re going to have two 2018 teams and a 2020, our freshman group and then our 18-U’s. That’s good for our boys, but we do something nationally every year. We’ve been to the Perfect Game events, to the Southwest Wood Bat events, USSSA; you name it, we’ve been there at some point or another. Triple Crown. The kids, they expect to play on a big stage, and I think this one will be just as big of a stage as they’ve played on. The difference here is the combine attached to this one, so with the combine, that benefits our players a little bit more. And that’s what this program is all about, it’s about the players.”
