Sean Guilbe was taken 351st overall by the San Diego Padres, and is a proud alum of the New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series and Program 15.
Guilbe participated in the International Week event in Sugar Land, Texas, and Program 15 VP of Scouting Butch Baccala provided the following report on Guilbe.
“To me, Sean Guilbe has unbelievable power. I kind of compare to what people were saying last year about Spencer Torkleson, who is at ASU this year and has 26 home runs and is a Division 2 All-American who was passed up in the draft, basically. Sean has incredible power, it was evident in his exit velos of 107 miles per hour for a junior in high school. If you want a guy that has the potential to be a full offensive package, but you’re going to have to give up a little defense maybe…but, (MLB) is an offensive league
