The Underclass Elite is one of the most highly anticipated signature events on the New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series, and rosters have finally been publicly revealed for an event that will, for the first time, be played at Mississippi State University as part of an unprecedented tripleheader of underclass action alongside the Fresh 50 and Underclass Premier from September 11-13.

You may, however, need some names to know. After the Underclass Combine, we can help. Here are just a few who popped down in Houston and are ready to make their name on the signature event stage.
Aaron Castillo, C/3B; Team Platinum
A recent commit to Texas Tech, Castillo has put in a ton of work with us since we first saw him on the signature event stage, where he was named the Most Outstanding Player at the 2024 Fresh 50 in Hartford. A left-handed hitting catcher who also put in some impressive work on the mound during our most recent Underclass Combine, Castillo has been trending upwards for a while now, and has the power to put one out at Dudy Noble Field over the course of our three day-stay there.
Kyndall Tausch, RHP/CF; Platinum
Tausch was named MVP at the 2025 Underclass Premier for his two-way prowess, and has been on our radar for four years now, as we’ve seen his stuff progress and his fastball starting to touch 90 MPH from a frame that’s got some projection to go. The future is likely on the mound for the Texas-born righty, but that’s not to say you shouldn’t keep an eye on him at the plate as well; he’s done some damage with the stick at past FSS events, and will likely get an opportunity to do so once again on the big stage.
Reid Tyner, SS/CF; Platinum
The son of long-time big-leaguer and current FSS instructor Jason Tyner, Reid Tyner is an interesting prospect in the 2028 who has some of the same traits his dad was able to make famous. A left-handed hitter with some speed and a lot of aptitude in the outfield, Tyner is another player who has seen the arrow go up since we first got to check him out at Instructs down in Louisiana late last December.
David Bankston, 3B/RF; Team Steel
This will be a rare second consecutive appearance in the Underclass Elite for Bankston, who had a huge showing the last time we saw him on this stage both in Frisco and at Globe Life Field. Another in a long line of stud athletes out of Georgia Premier Academy, the athletic Bankston will likely be a staple in the lineup all three days, and has shown he’s more than capable of chipping on the mound if necessary as well.
Easton Lange, CF/LHP; Steel
The kid just hits. At five-foot-seven and 155 pounds, Lange brings a lot of athleticism in a smaller frame, and has been an on-base machine at every event we’ve had him at. This will be his third consecutive trip to an FSS event signature event, starting with the 2024 Fresh 50 and 2025 Underclass Premier in back-to-back years in Hartford, and he should be electric to watch on a big D1 field.
Jett Pratt, SS/2B; Steel
We haven’t seen Pratt in game action since his second consecutive appearance at the Fresh 50 last year in Hartford, but he will inarguably be one of the top names to keep an eye on down in Mississippi. One of the younger brothers of FSS alum and current big leaguer Cooper Pratt, Jett won an FSS National Championship back in 2024 alongside older brother Quincy down in Nashville, and has made significant strides physically to continue to establish himself as a legitimate middle infield prospect.
Angel Tamayo, C/SS; Steel
Tamayo delivered the big moment of our trio of Underclass Combines this summer, as the only member of the underclass group to go yard, no less at the cavernous Andy Pettitte Park down in Houston. He graded out at levels rarely seen in our system as a “plus athlete (whose) tools profile at two high profile MLB positions” according to our scouts, who believe he could work his way into the top rounds of the 2028 MLB Draft if he can maintain this trajectory.
