Caribbean Classic Player Profile: Cole Prosek, INF

January 2, 2026

Cole Prosek, INF — Magnolia Heights HS
HT/WT: 6-1/195
Winter Signature Event:
Caribbean Classic

Prosek will be one of the higher-profile players set to suit up for Team United States at our Caribbean Classic presented by DraftLine, set for January 17-19 in the Dominican Republic, and deservingly so. Listed as the No. 97 prospect for the upcoming 2026 MLB Draft by MLB Pipeline and No. 92 by Baseball America, there’s a lot to like with the Mississippi native.

As seen below, he’s proven that the in-game power is very real, but there are a lot of tools in the box here. In his most recent scouting report from the Main Event, where he hit that pull-side homer to the right center field gap at Globe Life from the left side, our scouts have him as a potential top-two round draft potential player, with a profile that would trend towards being an offense-first second baseman, one who’s still solid with the glove at multiple spots.

There were multiple future 60’s on Prosek’s report — notably in hitting, approach, and baserunning — and he’ll unquestionably be one of the top names to keep an eye on during what should be a loaded international event.

Full rosters will be announced later but some of the players that have committed and will attend include: LHP/1B RJ Cope (Lawrenceville, GA), INF Easton Autrey (Corsicana, TX), LHP Hudson Tuley (Abilene, TX), INF Isaac Torres (Converse, TX), C Jax Van Valkenburg (Owasso, OK), INF Cole Prosek (Senatobia, MS), RHP Michael Teasley (Oak Ridge, TN), INF Dominic Pellegrin (Metairie, LA), Kaizen Dorsette (Nassau, Bahamas), Malique Isreal (Nassau, Bahamas), Asher Simms (Nassau, Bahamas), Yeickxel Rivera (Ponce, Puerto Rico), INF/OF Kail Pena (Caguas, Puerto Rico), Alan Gippson (Gurabo, Puerto Rico), Yeriel Rivera (Coamo, Puerto Rico), Carlos Coira (Vega Alta, Puerto Rico), SS Reilyn Mendoza (Dominican Republic), SS Caonabo Cosme Jr. (Dominican Republic), SS Ismael Beltre (Dominican Republic), Rodolfo Sanchez (Dorado, Puerto Rico), Saul Maldonado (Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico) and Derick Cedeno (Yauco, Puerto Rico).
