FSS Class of 2026: Jack Brenner || @JackJBrenner (University of Oklahoma)

April 13, 2026

As the 2026 MLB Draft draws closer and closer, it’s time to spotlight some of our more prominent players from the 2026 grad class, with the focus being on our Main Event standouts from this past October in Frisco and Arlington.

Jack Brenner || Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

POSITION: C/SS
HEIGHT: 5-11
WEIGHT: 174
BATS/THROWS: R/R
COMMITMENT: Oklahoma
MLB DRAFT RANKINGS: 180 (Baseball America)

Brenner provides a unique profile to the upcoming Draft, as a catcher/shortstop with some playable, in-game speed that comes from a 6.32 60-yard dash time we saw him put down at our National Combine. The Wisconsin native has been a steady performer at our events — both at that National Combine this past summer and at our Main Event at Globe Life Field in Arlington — and impressed with a 1.96 pop time in a big-league stadium to throw out a runner at second base.

A bit on the smaller side being listed at 5-foot-11 and 174 pounds at the time of that Main Event, the University of Oklahoma commit has worked to get his name into consideration for the first five rounds of the Draft, and graded out well both times our scouting staff has seen him. It’s future 50’s, 60’s and even a 70 for baserunning across the board on his latest report, which reads in part, “Good lean projectable frame, athletic look, speed and hit ability to hit at top of order, competes in box, comp to Craig Biggio…Speed and athleticism may push players profile to SS or CF. Either way he is a center of the diamond profile with a chance for five tools.”

Brenner showed an all-fields approach at the plate at both of our events; he was one of the players invited to stay for the unprecedented fourth day of the 2025 National Combine and got a base hit to his pull side there, but took a ball to the opposite field against a college arm for one of several base hits at the Main Event as well.
