For the first time, a complete look at the player pool is available at the graphic above, with the note that several players are still in late discussions to join the group, per CEO Jeremy Booth. As you would expect, there are plenty more names to know — some you may already be familiar with, and others who are new to us on the selection combine stage — and here’s a look at just some of the players who are expected to be in serious contention for spots at the Main Event at Target Field.
Kade Luker
An LSU commit, Luker is a very intriguing, polished southpaw arm who sits in the low 90’s with ease and already has experience in a big league park, putting on a dazzling showing at the FSS Underclass Elite at Globe Life in Arlington just last year.
Cooper Benjamin
Benjamin, an FSS veteran at this point, is an uncommitted lefty who has a long history of big performances with us. A California native, he’ll be looking at to earn his way to the Main Event after also pitching at the home of the Texas Rangers last year at the Underclass Elite.
Jamie Chipman
Chipman was electric with us last year, helping to earn his GPS program a national championship with a huge showing on the mound, and then again at the Underclass Elite. Recently decommitted from Baylor, there will be a lot of eyes on the power righty arm.
Christopher “CJ” Wall
Committed to Arkansas, Wall is considered to be one of the top 2027 catchers in the country. The Georgia Premier backstop brings some serious juice from the left side of the plate and consistently produces loud exit velos and hard contact.
Boston Brown
An Auburn commit, Brown has a six-foot-four, 205-pound frame and is considered one of the top prep players in all of Alabama. A physically impressive right-handed pitcher, his innings in Houston on the mound will be must-see.
Casen Reedy
A righty out of Gladiators Baseball, Reedy has been up to 97 this summer and has been mostly dominant using the heater and a slider. The Texas native remains uncommitted.
Nicholas Davis
One of Trombly Baseball’s brighest, Davis has stood out for several years for his ability to both hit and defend. An athletic shortstop who has run a 60 in the 6.8’s, he has a legitimate chance to earn the trip to Minnesota this September.
Jax Van Valkenburg
JVV was one of the co-captains of the Underclass Elite last year, and is in line to emerge as a favorite to go all the way to Target Field. The affable Arizona State commit has been a staple at FSS signature events for years after first standing out with the Sandlot program in Tulsa.
Quincy Pratt
One of the younger brothers of now-big leaguer and FSS alum Cooper Pratt, Quincy Pratt is, like Cooper was, an Ole Miss commit. The Mississippi native, who won an FSS national title with younger brother Jett with the BPA program, is a legitimate two-way threat.
Kaden Paris
Another younger brother of a big league FSS alum, Kaden Paris — you may remember Kyren Paris from 2018 International Week, he’s since gone to play at the highest level for the Angels — is a California-based outfielder who has a 6.67 60 to his name and is a long, lean athletic outfielder.
