On Friday, Major League Baseball announced the invitees to the 2024 MLB Draft Combine. 319 players were invited to this years’ event. It is the fourth year of the event and it will once again take place at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.
Of the 319 invites, 300 are currently featured on the FSS Plus Top 500 Draft Prospects board. The combine is a tremendous opportunity for players to meet with front office members of pro organizations, as well as show off their tools in a number of on-field workouts.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the MLB Draft Combine is who doesn’t show. Any player that participates in the medical portion of the combine is guaranteed at least 75 percent of their slot bonus for the pick they’re selected. Players that don’t attend are not provided that guarantee, though it does allow them more negotiating power with teams looking to run big under-slot deals.
