The Cleveland Guardians are a development organization. They don’t dabble much in free agency — certainly not of the big ticket variety — and they often use their farm system to fill their roster, either via trade of giving their prospects a shot.
The club’s farm system has suffered some injury issues, but more success stories highlight the 2023 season, too, including Gavin Williams, Logan Allen, and Tanner Bibee.
