Tucker Toman and Carter Boyd, who both starred for the Dirtbags at the 2022 grad class national tournament held in Cypress, Texas, have been named to the Top 50 in Baseball America’s most recent rankings of high school players for the 2022 MLB Draft.
Toman, ranked 38th, stood out both on the mound and the plate, but the latter was where he really shined; his effortless batting practice from both sides of the dish and pure hitting ability wowed everyone in attendance.
Boyd, currently 48th, also made a big impression on both sides of the ball, but more so on the mound. He showed elite velocity for his age, touching 92 miles per hour with ease late in the event.
In addition, Ian Ritchie (14) and Jacob Miller (22), have both attended scout day events and are expected to participate at the national combine event. Miller also played in the Music City Classic, a partner event.
