With his debut for the Cleveland Guardians on October 1, Bo Naylor became the first player to come through the New Balance Future Stars Series to officially reach the big leagues.
In his first major-league game against the Kansas City Royals, the 22-year-old catcher, who was taken with the 29th overall pick by the-then Cleveland Indians not long after participating in the inaugural International Week event back in 2017, Naylor threw out his first big league baserunner while going hitless in two at-bats.
At the time, it was the appearance of the top Canadian prep catcher that was one of the most highly anticipated aspects of the event; he memorably had two showdowns with now the top pitching prospect in all of baseball, Grayson Rodriguez, flying out twice.
Naylor reached base twice in the event, both on walks, including off another future pro ball standout, Dominic Pipkin.
