As part of a weekly series of stories leading up to the Program 15 New Balance Future Stars Series upcoming national events in Houston, FutureStarsSeries.com spoke with 5 Star Baseball President Andy Burress about being involved.
“That’s huge. The key for us is to get some of these guys in South Georgia to be able to be on the national stage. Some of these kids in bigger cities where sometimes you get these guys that have a little benefit because they might be in a bigger area, it’s big for a guy like me to get these South Georgia kids and North Florida kids who are in rural areas exposure.”
Mike Ashmore is a veteran baseball writer. Since 2003 he has covered multiple World Series and has worked high-profile events ranging from the MLB All-Star Game to the World Baseball Classic.
