RECAP: Future Stars Series Underclass Combine, 2026 and 2027 Grad Classes

July 18, 2023

One day, it might be interesting to look back and see some of the names that were at the final Underclass Combine, one for both the 2026 and 2027 grad classes, which wrapped up the stay for the New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series in Nashville.

While it wasn’t the way things were originally scheduled, having both classes in the same spot at the same time provided for an extraordinary amount of talent in one place, leading to an exceptional event that will determine the rosters for both the Fresh 50 at the University of Arizona from September 8-10 and the Underclass Premier at Vanderbilt the following week.

“There was a lot of talent on those two fields at Shelby Park this past weekend,” said Jeremy Booth, CEO and president of the FSS.

“That was a pretty incredible way to wrap up the month in the Music City, and our partner programs, players, families and partners all seemed to have an overwhelmingly positive experience down here. As far as this past week goes, it isn’t hard to dream on a lot of the guys we saw and what the future holds for a lot of them. We’re excited to see many of them at the next steps, whether that’s the Fresh 50 or the Underclass Premier, and think this group can be the foundation for many signature events to come.”

The event attracted a significant amount of attention on social media, with some of the content featured below only a very small fraction of what can be seen on the multiple platforms where the FSS has a presence:
