There was no denying Jordan Albarado at the 2026 New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series Main Event.
“Pork Chop” announced his presence in a big league park with authority on Saturday, smacking a home run into the left field seats to essentially cement his spot as one of the Co-Best Hitters of the weekend, alongside Arkansas commit CJ Wall. In an event where the bats were often ahead of some of the arms and there were quite a few quality bats who performed all weekend to choose from, it’s particularly impressive.
Albarado’s history with the FSS dates back to a San Antonio Scout Day in 2024, but he recently re-emerged onto the scene with us at our National Combine in Houston, where our scouts saw him as a “D1 bat potential” type “with ability to stay behind the plate” with his five-foot-eleven, 210-pound frame. Albarado will get to show just that after announcing a commitment to Oklahoma State back in June, and they should be excited if he gets to campus; he also delivered an impressive double to his oppo gap side on Sunday off a quality lefty to further add to an already memorable performance.
