Caribbean Classic All-Tournament Team Player Recap: Ismael Beltre

February 5, 2026

We are quite familiar with Ismael Beltre at this point.

Thus, we are certainly not surprised that he found his way onto the 2026 New Balance Future Stars Series Caribbean Classic presented by Draftline’s All-Tournament Team.

That event marked the fourth FSS appearance for the 2027-signing eligible outfielder out of Cacon Academy after previously playing in the August and October International Combines in the DR, and then making his stateside debut at December’s World Combine in Orlando.

It was there where his most recent scouting report comes from — work continues from the Caribbean Classic from our staff — and there are some particularly glowing marks on it, including a 70 future running grade after putting down a 6.75 60 time in Orlando on a slightly slow track given the conditions that day. Our scouts project him as a “top of the order guy who will have some pop at the top” with “lots of tools…plays under control, everything you want from an OF.”

The six-foot, 165-pounder once again showed the ability to stay in center field over the long haul in January, notably robbing Cole Prosek of at least a bases-clearing double with an excellent read on the grass, but also produced with the bat on several occasions as well. Our scouts have seen consistent solid contact, bat speed, and an ability to get himself into a good hitting position and believe he can make an impact near the top of a batting order.

Below, see Beltre’s big defensive highlight from the Caribbean Classic, and make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel for more Beltre video as well as plenty of footage from the past decade of the top amateur talent on the planet.
