There wasn’t going to be a 2026 New Balance Future Stars Series Caribbean Classic presented by DraftLine All-Tournament Team without JP Harmon on it.
Simply was not going to happen.
Why?
After a rain-interrupted start in the opener for the United States team in which he was still dominant despite the delays, Harmon came back on Monday and helped his team capture the coveted championship belt. Using a three-pitch mix that features a low-90’s fastball, the Ole Miss commit was dominant in both outings, but also impressed with his willingness to take the ball for a second time during the event.
Harmon has a long FSS history, dating back to a NorCal Elite League appearance all the way back in 2022. He’s since made numerous appearances at Underclass Combines and has signature event showings under his belt at both the Underclass Elite and the most recent Main Event. It’s there where his most recent scouting report comes from, and it’s one that focuses on the significant amount of upside the righty and his 6-foot-4, 215-pound frame bring to the table.
“Long lanky kid…great pitchers frame…shows flashes now,” the report reads.
“Much upside here. A lot to like…I have liked this guy for quite a while now and am still on his side here. This will be a good lottery ticket to be holding when he pops. This is what they look like.”
