Hunter Lynch, 1B/3B — Novato High
HT/WT: 6-2/230
Winter Signature Event: Caribbean Classic
The history with Lynch is both long and important, with the relationship having been cultivated dating all the way back to a trip to see the NorCal Elite League back in 2022. After a subsequent appearance at a NorCal Scout Day in early 2023, the hard-hitting corner infielder became a fixture at New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series selection and signature events, starting the latter with an appearance at the Underclass Premier in 2023.
In 2024, it was the Underclass Elite, followed by the next logical step, an invite to the Main Event. Unfortunately, after earning his way there with a massive home run hit at the National Combine at San Jac, Lynch was unable to attend due to illness, making a trip to the upcoming 2026 Caribbean Classic presented by DraftLine all the more important for the hard-working, uncommitted slugger. The California native is inarguably a staff favorite with his incredible attitude and work ethic, but has the tools as well; our scouts have him as a “physical body with strength all over” and say “his body is trending in the correct direction in changing the softer muscle he had, and tightening it up and adding good muscle.”
Likely a future first baseman — even with quick hands, feet and actions, his first step quickness likely will move him away from the hot corner in the future — Lynch brings some significant athleticism to go with essentially a now body, and has current 45/future 60 grades from our scouts both in power production and throwing to go with a 45/55 on the fielding grade.
Full rosters will be announced later but some of the players that have committed and will attend include: LHP/1B RJ Cope (Lawrenceville, GA), INF Easton Autrey (Corsicana, TX), LHP Hudson Tuley (Abilene, TX), INF Isaac Torres (Converse, TX), C Jax Van Valkenburg (Owasso, OK), INF Cole Prosek (Senatobia, MS), RHP Michael Teasley (Oak Ridge, TN), INF Dominic Pellegrin (Metairie, LA), Kaizen Dorsette (Nassau, Bahamas), Malique Isreal (Nassau, Bahamas), Asher Simms (Nassau, Bahamas), Yeickxel Rivera (Ponce, Puerto Rico), INF/OF Kail Pena (Caguas, Puerto Rico), Alan Gippson (Gurabo, Puerto Rico), Yeriel Rivera (Coamo, Puerto Rico), Carlos Coira (Vega Alta, Puerto Rico), SS Reilyn Mendoza (Dominican Republic), SS Caonabo Cosme Jr. (Dominican Republic), SS Ismael Beltre (Dominican Republic), Rodolfo Sanchez (Dorado, Puerto Rico), Saul Maldonado (Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico) and Derick Cedeno (Yauco, Puerto Rico).
