A quick glance at the roster of attendees at this past week’s New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series powered by Program 15’s regional combine in Chicago is all you really needed to get an idea of the level of talent that was expected to be descending onto the “Windy City” this past Friday.
And, after a day full of seeing that talent on display, nobody on the FSS staff went home disappointed.
A group of over 100 players made their case to earn invitations to jewel events such as the National or Underclass Combines that are set for Lake Charles, Louisiana this summer.
“Talent was high across all levels,” said NBBFSS/P15 CEO Jeremy Booth. “Multi-sport athletes in attendance. It’s a big region and these athletes are always hungry. Fun to see and be a part of. There will be selections made from this event for the next round and they’ll represent well, no doubt.”
With both a wide array of age groups represented and the depth of talent at the event, there should be more than a handful of event invites being sent towards Chicago when it’s all said and done to both the National and Underclass events. While many players “made their name” at the event, find some select social media posts with video below.
