As the 2026 MLB Draft draws closer and closer, it’s time to spotlight some of our more prominent players from the 2026 grad class, with the focus being on our Main Event standouts from this past October in Frisco and Arlington.
Landon Brown || Rosharon, Texas.
POSITION: RHP/3B
HEIGHT: 6-3
WEIGHT: 200
BATS/THROWS: S/R
COMMITMENT: Mississippi State
MLB DRAFT RANKINGS: No. 293 overall; No. 12 prep player in Texas (BA)
One of the most well-decorated players in FSS history, Brown is also one of the most intriguing true two-way players to come through in the past decade.
Up to 98 as a pitcher and considered by some major outlets to have a brighter future on the mound as such, the two-time Main Event invitee memorably hit the no-doubt homer you see above at our National Combine this summer and has been a consistent performer on both sides of the ball since we first saw him back in 2024 at an Underclass Combine.
Our scouts consistently grade Brown out extremely well both as an infielder and pitcher, with overall numbers rarely seen in the system attached to both grades. His most recent report from Globe Life Field in Arlington reads, in part, that “defensively he can stay at third, no question…he has soft hands, great reactions, and plus-arm strength. As a hitter it is an advanced approach, really good hands through the zone, average to above power and bat speed, and the passion to compete every pitch. As a RHP he has all that you want from a starter- three pitches all average to + for K’s, huge courage, and an advanced approach to pitching as well.”
