The youngest player on the United States roster at the 2026 New Balance Future Stars Series Caribbean Classic presented by DraftLine, Christian Lux was extraordinarily impressive in a high-pressure situation, earning him a spot on the event’s All-Tournament Team.
15 years old at the time of the trip to the Dominican Republic, and now 16, the 6-foot-3, 225-pound righty dazzled in his start on the last day of the event at the Naranjo Baseball Complex in our first look at him since an appearance at the Dallas Regional Combine in June. Lux used a three-pitch mix on that Monday in the DR that included a fastball up to 90 miles per hour, slider that sat between 76-79 MPH and 78-81 MPH changeup to get through several innings with ease.
Our scouts were blown away; Lux is listed in his report as someone who “will be a prospect out of high school…can see him as a top end weekend college starter.” Lux is, as the report says, what they look like and “has a great frame for his age…built to last with present strength and durability…really easy arm action with good extension and finish out front…will throw really hard as he keeps maturing and growing.”
Lux, who ran a 7.16 60 in Dallas, also plays third base as he continues his path as a two-way player, one that will likely end with him on the mound full-time.
