Congratulations!

My name is Jeremy Booth, and it is my extreme pleasure to connect with you. A few words about me:

I founded New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series (NBFSS) in 2016 and am the CEO & President of Baseball Operations. In addition, I’m a baseball analyst at KHOU-CBS in Houston, and have spent 25 years in Professional Baseball, including as a scout for the Minnesota Twins, Milwaukee Brewers, and Seattle Mariners, and currently as an Advisor to clubs for the MLB Draft.

You are seeing this because I am inviting you to attend a New Balance Future Stars Series Regional Combine, as you have been nominated and selected. A Regional Combine Qualifier is the next step in the Future Stars Series system — a direct-to-MLB and college scouting and player development program. The first step was your nomination, which happened one of three ways:

1. You were seen or approved by me or one of our former MLB scouts currently on staff
2. A college or National Team coach nominated you
3. You were nominated by an MLB scout, which includes the Area Code Games Baseball staff and our Advisory Board

If your nomination came by way of a college coach or MLB scout, we’re unable to disclose the name of the coach, school, club, or scout, but we can reveal those three ways are the only path into the Series.

Here are important facts for you to know regarding your selection and Future Stars Series:

  • We are the only amateur baseball association to have MLB clubs and college coaches publicly standing side-by-side with us
  • We are the global initiative of amateur baseball for New Balance
  • 2026 is year No. 10 for NBFSS, assisting in hundreds of millions of dollars in signing bonuses and scholarships for players
  • Over the past three years, FSS alumni have comprised of approximately 35% of MLB’s Top 100 prospects, 16% of MLB Draft selections, and one-third of MLB Draft Combine participants
  • All scouts and player development staff are former professional and Major League Baseball personnel
  • We focus on Player development guidance along with global and intentional exposure
  • Our evaluations and events are heavily factored in and involved in MLB Draft operations
  • Future Stars Series is consulted by MLB and its clubs, including during the Draft
  • Players attending have the chance to be written up by Jason A. Churchill, and Mike Ashmore
  • No chasing rankings, we only rank the draft. Being in our program tells the industry you can play and they should pay attention — they do, and they will. We had over 90 players drafted & signed out of the draft last July, and over 100 in 2024.

  • Full investment into the player by scouts and player development staff who have done it at the highest level
  • One of four amateur groups to have every event logged with Synergy and Trackman, the video and data systems utilized by all 30 MLB teams and all college programs — joining USA Baseball, Area Code Games, and East Coast Pro Showcase
  • We have college coaches on our selection committee for NBFSS college events such as the JUCO Showdown and All-Star Weekend, and MLB clubs assisting in selection for our signature events
  • Our data and role predictive modeling are unique, utilized in draft rooms across Major League Baseball, and available to every player who is involved in our events
  • We have events in the highest-level college venues and have a selection of MLB stadiums and Minor League Baseball parks, including Fenway Park and Globe Life Field

Who we are is above. Who we are not is simple: we are not a travel organization, tournament, or showcase mill with thousands of meaningless events. We make every effort at every event to provide value for players and their families. We do not cast bait with dishonest evaluations.
