Texas Rangers Top 30 Prospect Rankings Update

August 6, 2023

A weakened system is a byproduct of the club’s go-for-it mode, which began with the signings of Marcus Semien and Corey Seager prior to the 2022 season, and continued with Jacob deGrom this past offseason, but has turned into the Texas Rangers turned their sights to more help on the trade market this summer.

Max Scherzer, Jordan Montgomery, Chris Stratton, Austin Hedges, and Aroldis Chapman cost the Rangers quite a bit of prospect capital, uncluding one of their top talents to the New York Mets, and two more to the St. Louis Cardinals.

Texas, however, hangs onto their best prospect, Evan Carter, and added another high-end bat to their system in the draft last month when they selected Wyatt Langford.

There remains a handful of near-ready talent down on the farm, too, including infielder Justin Foscue.
