Wabash Valley is coming off a 35-23 season and just two years ago were in the JUCO World Series. In 2026, they’ll kick off their season at the 2026 New Balance Future Stars Series JUCO Showdown under the watchful eye of head coach Aaron Biddle.
Let’s check out some players to watch on Biddle’s roster.

Enrico Veach, IF (S0.)
Veach hit .341/.446/.425 with 16 stolen bases a year ago. He played third base to start 2025 and will be the leadoff hitter and everyday shortstop in 2026. He’s committed to Louisville.
Connor Christenson, IF (So.)
Christenson missed most of last season with a knee injury, but is an infielder with some speed and legit power, slugging .471 before the March injury ended his season. Christenson has on-base skills to go with the pop and uses the whole field.
Owen Cornett, 1B (So.)
Cornett is a corner defender with power (.493 SLG in 2025), and posted a .408 OBP to go with the extra-base ability. It’s a swing with leverage, producing easy loft, and it’s all-field power.
Bennett Holdener, RHP (S0.)
Holdener is a three-pitch arm, touching the low-90s with his fastball. His breaking ball is a mid-70s slider generating nearly 50% whiff rates and spin up to 2800 rpm.
He doesn’t throw the changeup a lot (under 10%), but he sells it well, and it should become a weapon versus left-handed batters.
At 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds, Holdener carries physical projection into his sophomore year.
Other returning arms to watch include right-handers Brendan Mullin, Preston Barr, and Trevor Fishman, and left-hander Dylan Thompson.
