New Balance and Program 15 Announce Upcoming Dates and Locations for “Future Stars Series” Amateur Baseball Combines

The Future Stars Series nationwide search for amateur baseball talent is the initiative between New Balance and Program 15 to elevate the game of baseball by providing players across all economic levels an opportunity to reach their full potential through the training, development, and guidance of former MLB players, scouts, and coaches.

The Future Stars Series camps and development sessions are open to all amateur high school aged players.  Players attending a Future Stars Series event will receive a full Program 15 scouting report, developmental feedback and plan to assist in their long-term growth from scouts who have signed Major League players.

The Future Stars Series Skills and Evaluation Camps consist of the following two-day combine structure.

Saturday:

Athletic strength and conditioning testing with instruction
Defensive skill player development by position
Hitting: on field and in Cages with instruction
Pitchers: arm care, long toss, PFP’s, pitching fundamentals, defensive instruction

Sunday:

Games

The Future Stars Series camps are led and attended by the Program 15 National Staff of Major League Veteran players, scouts, and coaches including Jeremy Booth, Trenidad Hubbard, Benji Gil, Butch Baccala, Adam Czjakowski, Roberto Kelly, Chad Moeller, and Jim Parque.

Camp scouts, coaches, and staff will be using evaluation and development tools provide by:

Blast Motion – the industry’s most accurate motion capture sensor integrated with communication, analysis, coaching, and management tools that enable the daily drive to improve.

SkillShow – Leader in onsite sports filming and Draft scouting videos used by many MLB scouting departments. Player videos will be made available to each participant.

Program 15 President and Director of Development, Jeremy Booth stated, “Our program is specifically designed to develop each individual player’s ability to his full potential, then to get that player the results that their ability deserves. Our commitment is the same, whether it’s a young man with the desire to move from select ball to playing in high school, from high school to being recruited by a Division 1 college or from college to MLB draft pick.”

Many professional and MLB players including George Springer, A.J. Reed, Brady Rodgers, Michael Reed, Scott Manea, Alex Jackson, Zack Wells, Tyler Beede and Leon Byrd got a jump on the pre-season by working with Program 15’s training and development staff before heading off to spring training.

On his recent offseason with Program 15, Astros first baseman A.J. Reed said, “It was nice to have that outside set of eyes watch me work on my swing and giving me feedback. I feel like I made some pretty good strides working with Jeremy this offseason and I put myself in a good position to be ready for this year”.

Astros pitcher Brady Rogers said, “Jeremy saw me at my best in high school and in college. My first few years in pro ball, I didn’t feel like myself, something was off. Coming here really helped me take that step forward. Is it a coincidence that the first offseason I spent with Program 15 I ended up making it to the big leagues that next year? I don’t think so. Working with Jeremy really helped me to take a huge leap forward and make my dream of getting to the big leagues come true”.

The Future Stars Series Skills and Evaluation Camps are hosted by a selected regional college program or summer league and will serve as a recruiting showcase opportunity as well.
