A New Jersey native, Alex Kranzler still stars as a two-way player at the high school level, but his future lies on the mound. He can overpower hitters from a 6-foot-3, 210-pound frame with a fastball that’s been up to the mid 90’s, but stands out for his athleticism given his size. If taken in the MLB Draft — and signed — he could be one of the quicker-moving prep arms in his new organization.
FSS Event History: Kranzler is a “true” FSS alum, with appearances in multiple signature events. The Garden State standout starred at the Underclass Combine in 2021, and then the inaugural Underclass Elite event the following year. A trip to the National Combine one year later produced a strong showing at the Main Event at Fenway Park, i which he allowed just two baserunners in his three innings of work.

Joe Doyle on Kranzler:
Kranzler, a Vanderbilt commit, is expected to be a tough sign away from school, but those who believe in the stuff and the competitor could take a chance on the 6-foot-2-inch righty in the Top 100 picks. It’s an exciting young right hander with a promising breaking ball featuring two-plane tilt in the low-80s, some throwing future plus grades on it. He’s an explosive mover with a fastball that sits 91-93 and can grab 94. Kranzler gets high makeup and competitiveness grades.
