New Balance Future Stars Series Amplifies Opportunities For Amateur Baseball Talent With Launch of New All-American Super Regionals Format

Super Regionals

The New Balance Future Stars Series, in its continuous commitment to player identification and development, has announced a significant enhancement to its structure. This initiative, a joint effort between New Balance Baseball and PROGRAM 15, is expanding its scope with the introduction of the new All-American Super Regionals format, replacing the previous Regional Combines.

The All-American Super Regionals are poised to increase the reach of the Future Stars Series across the United States and into Puerto Rico and Canada. These events will take place during the fall and early spring, catering to rising freshmen through rising seniors. These changes are designed to provide consistent on-site development through gameplay and staff instruction/feedback.

Players will be identified for participation through Future Stars Series Partner Programs, partner events, scouted tournaments, FSS Open ID events, and FSS Player Nominations. Rosters will be limited to 15 players per team, ensuring a quality experience for all participants.

The All-American Super Regionals will be more than just games. The events will include full scouting reports, and players will have the opportunity to earn invitations to the next summer’s Future Stars Series National and Underclass Combines. The events will be live-streamed and all participants will receive an FSS All-American Super Regionals shirt and hat as part of their participation.

There is also a quality control method in place. Players who attend the fall events must be checked in the spring through Open ID’s or Partner Scout Days to maintain their invite status. This process encourages players to continue working on their skills and development. These events will be led and operated by Future Stars Series Regional Directors, Scouted and Coached by FSS Staff of former Major League and professional players, scouts, and coaches.

Speaking about this change, Future Stars Series President and CEO Jeremy Booth said, “we’re very happy to streamline the process for families even more. By empowering our Regional Directors, we’re able to extend the FSS calendar to the fall. We can place more access to signature events in the hands of players and partner organizations, and continue to aid in their process toward future role achievement. Additionally, this gives them more detailed and marked information that comes into play if they activate Pelotero, along with the other data and exposure solutions coming for them in the near future.”

Additionally, players from past Scout Days, Regional Combines, and National and Underclass Combines who do not make the signature events can still be invited to attend, ensuring that as many players as possible have the opportunity to participate and benefit from the Future Stars Series initiatives.
