One of the members of the National Team at the inaugural New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series International Week event all the way back in 2017 in Sugar Land, Texas, Walling was mostly a hitter back then, but joins the Phillies organization as an undrafted free agent as a pitcher, a role he settled into at first Oregon State and then Mississippi State.
PICK ANALYSIS BY JEREMY BOOTH, CEO AND PRESIDENT OF THE NEW BALANCE BASEBALL FUTURE STARS SERIES: Andrew is a great young man who carried himself like a professional when he was here. He was always a two way prospect, and it’s good to see him find a home on the mound as a pro. Reminds a little of Brooks Kieschnick.
