Now that the return of the 2025 World Combine presented by DraftLine is in the books — the Ocoee, Florida, workout and games marked the first time the New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series has run that event since 2020 — it’s time to take a quick look back at some of the players who made it what it was.

It’s also the first time this event has been run as a selection event for a future trip, with the Caribbean Classic quickly approaching next month, so these may be some players you see on those rosters when we get going in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, from January 16-19.
Here are five pitchers from our trip to the TNXL Academy that are worth keeping an eye out for moving forward:
KEURIS REYES, RHP
HT/WT: 6-4/190
ELIGIBLE: 2027
TRAINER: YP ACADEMY
Reyes is the headliner of the group, a very recently converted shortstop who dazzled in his early outing on the first day of games in Ocoee. That’s also most likely the last we’ll see of him for some time, as it was reported that he reached an agreement with a big-league club prior to the start of the second day of games. Long levers and some projectability in the frame to add, as well as some increased pitchability here, as he focuses solely on the mound.
FERNANDO ESTRELLA, RHP
HT/WT: 6-3/190
ELIGIBLE: FA
TRAINER: GONZALEZ BASEBALL ACADEMY
There were a lot of eyes on Estrella in Ocoee, with the free agent Mexican-born righty using a fastball-curveball-changeup mix over the course of a lengthy outing in front of a bevy of big league scouts. He topped out at 90 with the heater, mixing in his two offspeed offerings well over four innings of work.
RADHAMES SANTANA,
HT/WT: 6-2/200
ELIGIBLE: 2026
TRAINER: LUCAS GARCIA
Free and easy delivery that generates swing-and-miss with the fastball from the 2026-eligible Dominican righty. Well-distributed 6-2, 200-pound frame. He was one of the early attractions on the first days of games in Ocoee, and would be a prime candidate to pitch for his home country at the Caribbean Classic in Puerto Rico.
LEONARDO VOLMA, RHP
HT/WT: 6-1/185
ELIGIBLE: 2027
TRAINER: LUCAS GARCIA
It was mostly fastball-curveball for Volma in Ocoee, but two pitches were enough for an effective outing. He touched 88 with his fastbal,l and there’s more in there as he works from a leaner frame. As a 2027-eligible arm, there’s room here to keep developing, and he’ll potentially be someone to keep an eye on if he’s selected to the Dominican Republic roster at the Caribbean Classic.
JORGE RODOLFO FIERRO, RHP
HT/WT: 6-2/181
ELIGIBLE: 2027
TRAINER: GONZALEZ BASEBALL ACADEMY
Another solid arm out of the Gonzalez Baseball Academy in Tijuana, this was our second look at Fierro after a strong first impression down in Mexico back in September. He used a fastball-slider-curveball mix for an effective outing in Ocoee and is another projectable arm with room to add, who could be worth a watch on the Caribbean Mix team if he gets selected to appear at the Classic.
