HOUSTON, TX — New Balance Future Stars Series (FSS) continues its strategic expansion ahead of the 2026–27 cycle with a series of key additions and promotions across scouting, baseball operations, player analysis, and organizational development, further strengthening the infrastructure behind one of baseball’s fastest-growing player evaluation and development platforms.
As part of its continued investment in long-term organizational growth, Future Stars Series has added Darin Vaughan, Vance Vizcaíno, Conor Brooks and Elizabeth Benn to its scouting and baseball operations department—four hires viewed internally as foundational pieces for the company’s future.

Darin Vaughan joins FSS in a scouting capacity after a distinguished career spanning professional scouting, collegiate coaching, and athletic administration. His background includes scouting roles with the Texas Rangers and Atlanta Braves, where he built a reputation for identifying and signing impact talent, in addition to extensive coaching and leadership experience at the collegiate level. Vaughan’s blend of traditional scouting acumen, player development understanding, and leadership experience will make him an immediate contributor to the FSS evaluation ecosystem.
“I’ve known Darin for 20 years. He’s an excellent evaluator, a true competitor, and an 80 human being. He’s relentless, he works, and he cares,” said Jeremy Booth, CEO and President of Baseball Operations for New Balance Future Stars Series. “Having him based right in Houston—one of our key hubs—matters. Beyond the evaluation side, his background across levels, including as a former high school athletic director, gives him a deeper understanding of people. He sees the full picture—the player and the person—and that aligns perfectly with what we’re building.”
Vance Vizcaíno also joins the organization after previously playing professionally in the Kansas City Royals system and most recently serving in scouting roles, bringing with him a valuable combination of player perspective and evaluator expertise. His firsthand understanding of professional development pipelines and player progression models adds another important layer to the organization’s expanding player personnel group.
“I’ve been fortunate to watch Vance grow up,” said Booth. “There’s legacy there, but he’s building his own path. He’s passionate, articulate, and a strong evaluator. He brings energy and credibility everywhere he goes. His impact across Latin America, Florida, and throughout our system is already being felt. He’s an asset in every sense, and we’re excited about where he’s headed within this.”

Conor Brooks joins FSS and will be the Advisor to Baseball Strategy, taking on an expanded role as part of the organization’s long-term vision. Already familiar with the internal standards and operational framework of Future Stars Series, Brooks offers one of the more unique and modern backgrounds in the space — bringing experience as a player, scout, and especially on the international stage. His résumé includes time with both the Texas Rangers and New York Mets, service as bench coach for Great Britain’s World Baseball Classic team, and current work in the Korean baseball landscape. Brooks’ fluency in all aspects of the game will help the organization grow internationally and advance player analysis and ecosystem building.
“Conor brings a global lens,” said Booth. “He’s played, coached, and scouted internationally—Asia, Europe—and here at home. He’s operated in executive roles and understands how to build and scale. He’s going to help position the Future Stars Series into the next phase—evaluation, technology integration, modeling, and leadership. His experience and perspective are exactly what we need as we continue to evolve.”
Elizabeth Benn comes on board as a player development analyst and will serve in an advisory/operational capacity. Benn brings elite-level baseball operations experience from both Major League Baseball and the New York Mets, where she most recently served as Director of Major League Operations after previously working in MLB’s baseball operations department. Benn will assist Future Stars Series in navigating relationships and opportunities involving MLB, USA Baseball, baseball complexes, and other strategic partners as the organization continues to expand nationally and internationally. She also currently contributes as a baseball analyst in media roles, including work with SNY and Canadian baseball coverage.
“Liz is a star. That’s the simplest way to put it,” said Booth. “She’s lived the game from multiple angles—from playing to operating at the Major League level and running events within MLB’s ecosystem. She understands pathways, structure, and execution. Bringing her in to help guide player development, process data, and translate that into actionable insight for our coaches is a major addition. There’s a real sense of confidence in what she brings.”
Benn, Brooks, and Vaughan will work directly with CEO Jeremy Booth while Vizcaino will coordinate primarily with scouting department. All 4 are viewed as long-term organizational investments and are expected to take on increased responsibility as Future Stars Series continues to scale.

On the FSS baseball operations side, Anthony Perry has officially been elevated to Vice President of Baseball Operations, while Jason Churchill will now serve as Vice President of Player Analysis.
In their new roles, Perry and Churchill will work in tandem to further align the organization’s scouting, player development, and data initiatives—allowing Future Stars Series to operate more aggressively and cohesively across departments while enabling Robbie Moen to refocus on event execution and delivery at the on-site/game-day level.
The additions and promotions come as Future Stars Series continues to expand its footprint across amateur, collegiate, and professional baseball through its unified ecosystem of scouting, player development, predictive analytics, and technology-driven infrastructure.
“All of these new team members make us better—across the board,” said Booth. “There’s a shared belief internally that bringing this group into the mix strengthens everything we do. It’s a winning situation and a winning formula. We continue to blend the tradition of the game with forward-thinking evaluation, forecasting, and growth—what the game is today and what it’s becoming tomorrow.
I’m excited about the alignment. This is a group that understands what we are, what we can become, and where we’re headed. More importantly, they genuinely want to work together for the long haul. Everyone understands their role as part of a larger system—a cog in the wheel—and that’s how real progress happens. As we expand not just in baseball but into other sports, every person involved brings a level of experience or expertise that translates. These are impact additions.”
